The Synergy Memo That Asked for Alignment and Delivered a Meeting

A Q3 memo used synergy four times, alignment six times, and a verb never. The only concrete instruction was to find a time to discuss the memo.

The Synergy Memo That Asked for Alignment and Delivered a Meeting

The memo opened with gratitude for everyone's bandwidth and closed by asking the same people to give that bandwidth back in a 45-minute sync. Synergy appeared four times. Alignment appeared six. A verb that moved an object appeared zero times.

Phrase crime: using a meeting to announce that a meeting is the work.

We rate the memo 8/10 for commitment to the bit. It did not ask anyone to do a job. It asked them to be present while the job remained a metaphor. That is not a strategy. That is a calendar invite with better stationery.
